Francis Hare; a character in A little night music, as his name might suggest, a hare! Francis is the retired Brigadier General of the Light Brigade of Regimental Hares; an all-hare military division. Now Francis is the sword instructor at Redwall. Although he is retired; Francis still typically dresses in uniform, as shown in the picture. Like most hares; Francis eats nonstop, and a feast isn't a feast without him. He also carries a sword from his Light Brigade days called Caplan Cantil, which means 'Tiger Killer' in Turkish.
