Chag Fra consisted of three primary attack methods: percussion strikes, joint manipulations, and grappling. Percussion strikes were designed to disable major nerve centers or organs, such as stomach, liver, groin, and head. Joint manipulations were designed around breaking major joints, such as elbows and knees, although they could be used with less intensity as control techniques. Grappling encompassed both joint locks and chokeholds.
