they can be used in studying their venom and making antidotes for bites, as well as their movements are studied. also their web is super strong(i have heard an inch thick of spider web is stronger than an inch thick of iron) so if it can be cultivated somehow it could prove to be a useful material or the inspirations of a similar synthetic version.
