F'lar rushes to prepare the dragons to fight Thread at Nerat. They appear over Nerat at the right time, astonishing their riders. The Dragons were midly surprised at their riders' reactions. Thread begins to fall. The Dragons attack it, driven by instinct and training. They fight Thread until it reaches the sea, where it can do no harm (Thread drowns in water). He orders dragons to search the rain forests of Nerat, to ensure that no Threads had escaped dragons' flame. They return to the Weyr.
