Mitchell made his only feature film appearance co-starring with a number of other Star Trek alumni in the 1968 crime drama Madigan. The other TOS guest actors who had roles in this film are Michael Dunn, Steve Ihnat, Warren Stevens, Lloyd Haynes, Gloria Calomee, and William Bramley. Star Trek film actor Paul Sorenson and TNG guest star John McLiam also appeared in the film. Mitchell died from cancer on 13 September 2009. [1]
