In the typical week, EastEnders airs four half-hour episodes in a time slot of 8.00pm on Mondays and Fridays, and 7.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The episodes were broadcast on BBC One, apart from the six episodes airing between 30 July and 9 August, which were shown on BBC Two due to the 2012 Summer Olympics being broadcast on BBC One. Each episode was repeated the same evening on BBC Three, with a weekly omnibus edition airing on Sundays. There were also three shorter episodes shown on BBC Online and BBC Red Button.
