Around 1000 B.C., the Brown family were exploring the Pyramids of Giza, and were chased down by the ancient Egyptians after Verne Brown played a prank, using the Sphynx. The flux capacitor of the Jules Verne train was damaged in the ensuing chaos, and sending them back to 1692 in Salem, Massachusetts. In 1993, Doc Brown hung a photograph of himself posing like a hieroglyphic Egyptian in front of the Pyramids of Giza, with a chicken drumstick, in his chicken restaurant.
