Petre is a Trinsic stables caretaker in Ultima VII. He is notably one of the first people to discover the body of the murdered blacksmith Christopher at the beginning of the game. Petre was first seen conversing with Iolo about the murder outside of the Trinsic stables when the Avatar arrived via a Red Moongate. He later related to the Avatar, then charged with the investigation of the crime, that he had found the mutilated corpses of Christopher and Inamo (a Gargoyle worker living in the backroom of the stables) the morning of the Avatar's arrival. He also made observations about a set of bloody footprints he had found leading in the direction of the docks, thinking that they have to be the murderer's.
