Digital orthoimagery is a process by which a georeferenced digital image is prepared from a perspective photograph, or other remotely-sensed data, in which displacement of objects in the image, due to sensor orientation and terrain relief, have been removed. Digital orthoimagery comes from various sources and in a number of formats, spatial resolutions, and areas of coverage.
