Murder Squad were the personal battle and bodyguard unit of Darth Kaos. First created during the Galactic Civil War, they went on to serve their master throughout his life. All the members of Murder Squad were Force sensitive and wielded crimson lightsabers, but also had advanced knowledge of conventional weapons and strategy. During Darth Kaos's reign as Emperor, Murder Squad was expanded to an enormous size and became less a bodyguard and more like a secret police, rooting out dissent wherever it could be found. Murder Squad was disbanded upon Darth Kaos's death and was never reformed.
