Sir Frederic Lacey Robinson (27 October 1840 - 26 July 1911). The son of the Rev. Isaac Banks Robinson and Jane née Syer of Suffolk. He entered employment at the Inland Revenue in 1857. He advanced to secretary in 1882, commissioner in 1883 and Deputy Chairman in 1892. He retained the post until his retirement in 1902. He was made a Companion of the Bath in the 1891 Birthday Honours and a Knight Commander of the Bath in the Birthday Honours 1897. Sat on the London County Council as a Moderate Party alderman 1898-1904. Article in Who’s Who
