Robin Bew is a British economist who is the current Editorial Director & Chief Economist at the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU). He earned the title of Chief Economist in 1997 and Editorial Director in 2006. Before that, he worked for Her Majesty's Treasury until 1995 when he joined the EIU. As Editorial Director at the EIU he is responsible for the teams which produce economic and political forecasts on every country in the world, analysis and forecasts for a number of industries and for teams in the US, Europe and Asia which undertake customised research for EIU clients.
