Mr Scratchings was one of the Sky Pirates under the employ of Captain Plunder. Scratchings is a tough pig and became one of Plunder's most loyal pirates, staying with him ever since the business with the Tantaror. Although a fierce customer when intimidating others to join the crew, Scratchings is just as cowardly as the rest of us when faced with super-powered sharks or the Spice Maidens.
