Resistance: A Hole in the Sky is an indirect sequel to The Gathering Storm. It is being written by William C. Dietz. The book takes place after Nathan Hale's death at the end of Resistance 2 and before Resistance 3: It follows Joseph Capelli. On August 22, 2010 William C. Dietz announced that the book will be out October 25, 2011. On December 17th it was later announced that the release date for the book had been pushed forward to July 25th 2011 and later in June pushed back to August 2nd 2011. Amazon had listed the book to be released on July 26th 2011.
