When the Nazis invaded Russia they killed the family of a teenager named Tanya. She barely survived their assault and joined the guerrillas as the Young Avenger to repel the invaders. She declared to the Nazis: “Run, Nazi rats! The guerrillas wait for you! Behind every Russian bush–in every Russian shadow–they wait for you!”
