He started in the industry in 1989 working for Slave Labor Graphics before creating Madman at Tundra Publishing in 1992. The title moved to Dark Horse two years later, relauching as Madman Comics. He has worked on a variety of titles including X-Statix, The Golden Plates, and I, Zombie. He also appeared as himself in the Kevin Smith film Chasing Amy and did the artwork for the Bluntman and Chronic comic featured in the film. He contributed the "B" cover of the fifth issue of IDW Publishing's Star Trek - Legion of Super-Heroes mini-series with his wife's colors.
