Viterian was a Kobheerian male who served as the commanding officer of the Kobheerian freighter Rak-Miunis during the late-24th century. In 2369, Viterian visited the Bajoran space station Deep Space 9 while transporting a Cardassian passenger later discovered to be Aamin Marritza. (DS9: "Duet") In 2371, Commander Benjamin Sisko used a viewscreen manipulation to impersonate Viterian and disguised the USS Defiant as his freighter, in order to fly into Cardassian space to rescue Major Kira Nerys from the Obsidian Order.
