"The Tellarite story" is a tale recounting an unfortunate encounter between Crewman Fabian Stevens and a pair of Tellarites in a bar on Syrinx III in or around late 2375. Kieran Duffy, who was a witness to the original incident (along with Carol Abramowitz), enjoyed repeating the Tellarite story often to members of the crew of the USS da Vinci.
