The EMW United States Championship was introduced in EMW during the early days of Extreme Madness Wrestling. The first champion was determined in a tournament format. Jack Sparrow defeated The Sandman in the finals of the tournament to become the first champion on March 22, 2008 at Gold Quest. The last champion was Tommy Vercetti, who defeated "The Angry Video Game Nerd" James Rolfe to unify the United States and International titles to become the first EMW Internet Champion on June 22, 2008 at Extreme Homecoming. The title became deactivated after Extreme Homecoming.
