This, I believe, is one of the worst crimes anyone can commit. You place your lights out to celebrate and bring joy, and someone either steals of sabotages your grand display of lights. It is an actual crime, and you can be fined for it. If it happens to you, record what strands of lights were stolen or damaged, the estimated cost, and report it to the police. If the stolen lights are worth over $300, it is a felony.
