The Nissan Silvia, called the 240SX in the States, had a loyal following since it was first introduced in 1988 because of its extremely sporty nature and head-turning good looks. The most popular was the fifth-generation model, which many felt was the most attractive in the car's lineage. Produced from 1988 to 1993 and dubbed the S13, the stylish coupe was also heralded by the media, garnering Japan Car of the Year honors for 1988. It would eventually go on to become the best-selling Silvia ever. The top of the line version was the K's model, powered by Nissan's CA18DET, a turbocharged DOHC inline-4 that produced 173 HP/6400 rpm and 166.3 ft-lb of torque at 4000.
