Earl is a regular patron of Aunt Em's Diner in The Muppets' Wizard of Oz. Greeted by Aunt Em as "Early," his arrival signals the start of the early bird rush. Later, Kermit breaks off a friendly conversation with Earl to speak to Dorothy Gale. Earl seems relieved at his departure as he can now reach over for a piece of pie. He also watches the "Muppets Star Hunt" TV broadcast with Aunt Em and Uncle Henry.
