Yellow Magikoopas are regular Magikoopas with yellow robes. They are not as powerful as them and only have one magic ability. Besides shooting magic beams at Mario, they can electrify other enemies and make direct attacks impossible without Mario getting hurt. Yellow Magikoopas are probably the weakest because even though they can electrify enemies, Mario will only receive one damage point if he touches the enemy. The enemies can also still be attacked by items or non-contact attacks.
