Meles was a River-God of Lydia in Anatolia (modern Turkey). The small stream Meles and its respective god had its headwaters on the slopes of the coastal Mount Sipylos, flowing into the Aegean Sea near Smyrna. The two major neighboring rivers were the Hermos in the North, and the Kaystros to the South.
