As used here, "Zionists" refers to members of the movement for a "Jewish Homeland" in Palestine, and "Palestinian Arabs" refers to the non-Jewish population of Palestine at the same time. This article covers the period from the start of Zionism in Palestine in the late-19th Century to the establishment of Israel and simultaneous exodus of 700,000 to 750,000 Palestinian Arabs in 1948. This article is about their attitudes toward each other before these events occurred.
