Underwater panthers are a race of magical cats, capable of swimming underwater, that live in the Lands Below. They have glowing yellow eyes that appear lit from within, and hides that repel magical incantations; when fully grown, the cats have copper hides and horns. Maximilian King and Alexandra Quick faced and escaped a pack of underwater panthers after descending into the antechamber of the Lands Below in May 2009.
