In 1991 , the company acquired the license to produce Star Trek-themed trading cards. In 1995 , Skybox was acquired by the Fleer Corporation. Fleer continued to produce Star Trek card sets under the Skybox brand until 2000 , when its license expired. Rittenhouse Archives took over the license thereafter. In addition to their trading card sets, SkyBox also produced the Star Trek: The Card Game and its Starfleet Maneuvers expansion.
