The Bombing of Wielun was a failed attempt by the Luftwaffe on September 1, 1939 at 4:40 am to bomb the town of Wielun. The town was fortified with Novan anti-aircraft weaponry and EMP devices that immediately brought down most of the "advance" Stuka to enemy fire or crippling of their engines. The defeat of the Luftwaffe was an shock to the German High Command in Berlin, who was expecting no resistance of any kind, and they didn't even know about the alien technology possessed by the Polish.
