The Sandbar is a popular eating and drinking establishment in Plaxton, Caspar. It is located on the west side of Mergansar Avenue, looking south over Foundation Square. The Sandbar is recognized as a historical landmark by the city of Plaxton, and is claimed to be the oldest surviving business in the city. The establishment has changed hands many times, and has been destroyed no less than three times. The original structure (built to standards rather below current building codes) was gutted in a fire. Its replacement fell to a hurricane, which prompted the construction of a much more stalwart structure nicknamed 'the Bunker'. This building lasted until the Imperial invasion of 8 ABY.
