It was a radio station with 2 branches (Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty) that was to undermine the USSR, spread Western propaganda and reveal things the Soviet media denied had happened. RFE/RL was head-quartered at Englischer Garten in Munich, W.Germany/Germany, from 1949 to 1995. Radio Free Europe targeted the Soviet's Eastern Bloc satellite countries and Radio Liberty targeted the Soviet Union its self. In 1995, the headquarters were moved to Prague in the Czech Republic. The Soviet's Radio Moscow was one of it's arch rivals.
