The Gems On Earth are a group of Gems that reside on Earth, specifically in Steamboat City near the Pacific Ocean. Originally created on the Gem Homeworld, the members decided to protect the Earth, after learning about the Homeworld's evil plan to take it, and use it as their own. The team originally consisted of a large number of Gems, but most of them mysteriously disappeared, and were later found by the last remaining Gems at the bottom of the ocean. They were revealed to be trapped there by Hemimorphite in "Everything's Changing". The main purpose of their team throughout the series, was to recover the Corrupted Gems of their friends that fell in battle with the Homeworld 10,000 year prior to the events of the series.
