Ulsterman DC Brabin investigated when Kylie Turner abducted her son, Max from his foster parents Frank and Rachel in September 2010. When Kylie turned up at the Rovers with the child, half-sister Becky McDonald alerted the authorities and Brabin came with PC Cox to collect the child. Becky begged him to allow Kylie for a few minutes longer with Max, during which she convinced her to show a remorseful attitude to help her in the future to get her son back. Brabin was present when the child was given back to Frank and Rachel and Kylie muttered her rehearsed apology.
