The Missing Magician is Archmage Rakorium. The novices Nottel and Rufus ask the heroes to search for the confused magician. Rakorium is in the Old Mineshaft in the northwestern part of the Dark Forest near Avestrue. Inside the cave the heroes come across a number of strange looking rocks. These are actually wolf rats and robbers who were transformed into rocks by means of a paralysis spell. A short distance from the cave entrance, there is a fork in the path. The left path, through the wooden door, leads to an underground area where you will find the magician, who has to be escorted back out of the cave. Once outside, Rakorium casts a Transversalis spell and disappears. You can then meet him again on the bridge, together with his two novices.
