It was the seat of power of Lord Lysander, the first ruler of Palaedra, and the location of his court. This was where Sir Worton claimed to be the heir of Nicolas Gryphonheart by seemingly drawing the Gryphonheart blade from its scabbard. To discover the truth about Worton's ancentry, Lysander traveled to seek counsel with the Oracle of the Dawn, leaving Sir Daymarc in charge of Palaedra. When Lysander reached the town, he freed the prisoners and deposed Worton's corrupt underlings, like the current seneschal. After capturing Worton, he made Milton the new seneschal of Paledon.
