Garlinius Gernix was a Knight Academic who set sail on a stormchasing voyage during the Quint trilogy. His sky ship, the Storm Queen, crashed in the Twilight Woods, and he and his prowlgrin, Vinchix, were caught in a branch. Garlinius remained trapped in the Twilight Woods for eternity, all the while feebly reassuring Vinchix that their mission was nearly complete. During the events of Stormchaser, Twig encountered Garlinius in the Twilight Woods. Later on, he ran into another lost Knight Academic who was searching for Garlinius.
