The 2007 NAPA Auto Parts 200 was a Busch Series event held at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on August 4, 2007. It was the first series race north of the border and what a race it was. Marcos Ambrose appeared well on his way to his first series victory, but when a caution came out late in the race, Robby Gordon roughed up Ambrose and passed him. Ambrose then spun him in the next turn, retaining the lead as he slowed down to caution. NASCAR ruled that Gordon should fall back to 13th, but Gordon would have none of it, ignoring the ruling as the race restarted and spun out Ambrose (7th). Gordon, of course, was immediately black flagged and somehow Kevin Harvick emerged with the lead, holding off polesitter Patrick Carpentier for the victory.
