Beta Durani VII was a domed colony, supporting roughly 600 people. In 2265 Beta Durani VII was the site of an archaeological dig that uncovered a city billions of years old and eight miles beneath the surface of the planet; the oldest find on record. According to the hieroglyphs found on the site, this city was built by an ancient race that a billion years ago drove off the forces of darkness from normal space into a place of eternal darkness, they also warned of a time when the enemy might return. The archaeological team later found a large Pyramid, at the top of which was a "doorway" to another place, possibly a parallel dimension.
