San Francisco City Hall was a building in San Francisco during the 20th century which housed city government. An 1986 issue of the San Francisco Register noted that a face-lifting job was to start at City Hall. (Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home) The local newspaper did not mention the full name but instead just called it "city hall".
