Google Ideas was founded by Google based on the fact that the next five billion to come online will face far harder and larger human problems than the first two billion. Many of these problems are very troubling and difficult to approach. It is a think/do tank that explores how technology can enable people to confront threats in the face of conflict, instability or repression.
