In Age of Empires and the Rise of Rome expansion, the Stable is one of the major types of military buildings. Once the building is constructed, the player can produce cavalry units including Chariots, Cavalry and War Elephants. It is also used to upgrade cavalry to a stronger version of themselves. Ultimate units such as the Armored Elephant and the Cataphract can only be trained once the Iron Age is reached. It can be built in the Tool Age once the Barracks are built beforehand.
