Joan Alexander (b. April 16, 1915 - d. May 21, 2009) portrayed Lois Lane on the 1940-1950 Mutual Broadcasting System radio serial The Adventures of Superman. She also voiced Lois Lane for the acclaimed series of cartoon shorts collectively known as Superman in conjunction with the radio show. The shorts were relased theatrically from 1941 through 1943.
