The hockey section was founded in 1927. The club joined the regional Kraków Championship the same year and won their first match against Sokół Kraków, 2-1. In 1931, they moved to Zakopane and were known as Wisła Zakopane until 1939. Wisła was reactivated in Kraków in 1946. The club played in the final round of the Polish Championship in the 1928-29 and 1946-47 seasons. In 1947 they finished tied for first with KS Cracovia, but lost to them in the final game 4-3.
