The KL-44 Commander shield projector was a starship deflector shield system produced by Sirplex during the Galactic War. The KL-44 had a low baseline shield strength and a fast regeneration rate, but could project shields over nearby allied ships for a short duration in order to boost their shields along with the ship's own.
