Ryota was a young kid who played baseball in Nightly Tears of Sympathy who made a deal with Namiayashi to stop playing baseball in return for bring his grandfather back from the dead. But when Ryunosuke Ikenami and Mako Shiraishi find him he refuses to speak with them. Then later on he discovers it was all a lie which was Namiayashi plan to make him cry and make the Sanzu River rise. After jumping off of a platform he breaks leg and is sidelined in the end. Then he gets a visit from the spirit of his grandfather with help from Takeru Shiba and his Mojikara.
