During the Secession War, the Turian Hierarchy made efforts to ensure full control of the Terminus colony, Invictus. To do that, they had to eliminate the large number of Arcovan forces on the planet. After a long assault on the colony the Hierarchy was forced to pull back, not because they were defeated but because the Hierarchy admiral in-charge of the assault, Admiral Nervika, was ordered to redirect his forces to a rendezvous point where they were planning another assault.
