Biological section was a formation of the Imperial Navy. The section was responsible for conducting medical research for both the Imperial Army and Navy by maintaining outposts on thousands of worlds. By exposing personnel to microbes they were unaccustomed to, biological attempted to assess danger, prevent transmission, and cure any potential disease or pathogen. They also conducted experiments into new methods of treating wounds and rehabilitating injured personnel. Biological section was solely responsible for caring for the health needs of stormtrooper units.
