The Baron Tiorted III was a Light Republic Freighter during the Old Republic Era. Built around 4,080 BBY, “The Baron,” as it was called by its crews, began life as an upper-class luxury transport for a royal family on Csilla. One of several, The Baron was named after the patriarch of the first noble family to own it, Baron Tiorted Nagih’cim III. The Aristocrat outfitted class ships were only in commission under their aristocratic owners for 10 years when they were sold for bigger and better transports. A majority of the ships were destroyed or dismantled. The only ones to retain their freighter status and continue to run were Baron Tiorted III and Duke Rolyat, aptly named “The Baron” and “The Duke,” respectively, by their subsequent owners.
