Written in the year 1266 of the Fourth Age. Bilrach wonders why his servants follow him deeper into the ground. He admits that he needs them to progress, for now, so that he can save his power for a worthy challenge. He settles with the role of slavedriver until then. He seems to expect some enemy that he will come across in his excavation efforts. Other chronicles suggest this as well.
