The Legend of the Eight is a Drakel prophecy about the Devourer's fifth coming concerning the leaders of the Annunaki, the Avatars. As claimed by the dwarf Sigarin in the two volumes of his book The Legend of the Eight, eight elemental spirits were sent by the deities of Lore to dwell among mankind, and to guide mortals in the coming storm, during the Devourer's return. According to Drakel tradition, because they represented the material power of a god, they were called Avatars, much as the physical manifestation of a god would be.
