The 2008 Sam's Town 300 was a Nationwide Series event held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 1, 2008. Mark Martin won his first series race in nearly three years, although not without some controversy. Late in the race, Carl Edwards and Brian Keselowski were fighting for the victory. Both got loose coming out of a turn and Martin hit Edwards, taking both Edwards and Keselowski out of the event. Regardless, Martin won his 48th series victory (a record) while Tony Stewart (27th) still maintained a 42-point cushion on Kevin Harvick (4th). Stats
